Arts Crawl coming up!

Posted under Uncategorized

Hey there dudes and dudettes, Webmaster Bill stopping in to catch you all up. As I am sure you are all aware thanks to the miracles of facebook events, we are not too far away from the second annual SOMA/VASA Arts Crawl! For those of you that are actually not on facebook (trying not to laugh at the chances of that myself), Arts Crawl is an event that revolves around a tour of the Arts Buildings here on the Penn State University Park campus and will include:

–sneak peeks at student studios and art displays in the Patterson Building, the Visual Arts Building, and the Arts Building
–singing minstrel tour guides
–Visual arts demos and hands-on crafts
–10+ local bands interspersed throughout the tour
–food, food, food!
–performances by jugglers, dancers, and magicians
–a final collaborative mural and concert by internationally-renowned musicians TILLY AND THE WALL

Bands performing will be:

>Tilly and the Wall!
>Nathaniel Hoho
>Indigenous Phallic Symbol
>Matthew and the Judes
>Violets for Ophelia
>Jordan O’ Jordan
>The Study
>The Bullet Parade
>Neon Soul Session
AND MORE!

So quick, clear your schedules, drop your night classes, tape Lost, whatever it takes to make it out to what will be the most awesome thing ever!

Another quick note, like I am sure Fidel Castro did for his brother, our former President Danny Greene has so graciously added a document explaining everything you could ever wish to know about what SOMA is ever!!! Hopefully you won’t lose any money bets on what this amazing cluster of a club actually is but please check it out. You can find it in the “What is SOMA?” section of the site by clicking on the name of “Danny Greene”. If anyone has any questions about Arts Crawl, another event or has an idea for something we can do please do not fray from contacting me or another SOMA officer. We are all more than willing to hear anything you have say about the club and open to any ideas you may have for the future. That’s all I got for now, until next time, later!

Webmaster Bill
